What ProDentim claims

The sales page argues that oral health depends on having enough “good” bacteria, and that common toothpastes and mouthwashes contain “toxic ingredients” that damage the oral microbiome. It also claims benefits beyond the mouth, including respiratory health, sleep and digestion, and describes the product as “doctor-formulated” and suitable for “all ages and medical conditions”.

We see several problems. The formulating doctor isn’t named. Several items on the website’s reference list are consumer health blogs rather than clinical studies. And the claim about toothpaste conflicts with mainstream dental advice: the American Dental Association recommends brushing twice a day with fluoride toothpaste. Do not stop using fluoride toothpaste because of a supplement advertisement.
